"The Desperado" 2019 Grenache Barbera

Sold Out

A JUICY, SINGLE VINEYARD FIELD BLEND FROM S.A.

Another of our collaborative wines. Made from a blend of Grenache and Barbera, from a single vineyard in Ngawait Country, South Australia.

LOOK FOR:

Aromas of cherry and cinnamon with balanced tannins, medium acidity and plush berries.

DRINK WITH:

Duck, grilled steak or rich seafood.

TECHNICAL STUFF:

The fruit was machine harvested from a single vineyard in Monash, South Australia. The grapes were then crushed and fermented in stainless steel using a mix of two different yeast strains for added complexity. It was then aged in 5 year old French oak Puncheons for subtle Oak influence and to allow the fruit to shine through. This wine is light enough that it can be served at both room temperature or lightly chilled and will be best consumed over the next 5+ years.
