"The Renegade" 2018 Traminer

"The Renegade" 2018 Traminer is a unique, aromatic wine grown in the Hunter Valley, NSW, and hand pressed, hand bottled and wax sealed. Unfiltered and Vegan friendly.
A pale copper hue, aromas of rose petals and lychees and a lingering taste of Turkish Delight, ginger and citrus.
Middle Eastern cuisines and smelly cheeses.
“The Renegade” is made from Hunter Valley Traminer, machine harvested in January. The fruit was cold soaked, a technique traditionally used in the creation of some red wines. It was stored in a sealed container for four days and then pressed by hand in a wooden basket press. The juice was left to ferment naturally, using only the existing wild yeast present in the juice. A minimal amount of sulphur and vegan finings were used before the wine was racked and hand bottled without filtering. The wine has been bottled using salvaged Riesling bottles that were unwanted by another Hunter winery. Along with being bottled by hand, “The Renegade” was also hand corked and wax sealed.
